Thank God for the Internet!

I'm amazed at how technology is moving so fast! Each and every year, a new invention will just pop out and wow us, but very quickly it's being replaced by new gadgets and creations, especially things like the laptop and mobile phones. In the past, who would have thought that the camera and conventional handphone could be integrated together to form something so awesome? Just visit http://www.time.com/time/2004/inventions/ and you'll be surprised at what kind of things people can come out with.

Despite all these funny funny stuff consistently emerging out of nowhere, I think that the best (okay.. one of the best) inventions/ discoveries around would be the Internet! I can't imagine life without this cool communication tool. How am I to do my research (imagine having to snatch/ being extra kiasu fighting for the book in the library), how am I to keep in touch with people overseas, how am I to entertain myself besides the cable channels. Man! I really admire and pity how students in the past lived. Life probably would be simple and sweet, yet super boring and inconvenient! Haha, that's just my perception, since I am in and was born into this fast-paced era.

Yeah, I am still so so grateful for the Internet. Life's so much easier.. Hm, but come to think about it, it can be of good or disadvantage to us yeah? Either we use it properly, or abuse the power of the Internet. Let's see how much damage it's bringing to the world - porn, politically incorrect stuff splashed everywhere on blogs, false information about God, all sorts of weird things circulated, people using the fact that you can't see the person on the other side to do immoral activities.. It also brings people to be too reliant on it that it's time to really 'Get a life'..

SO! Hahahaha... I do not know how to continue this.. but,

Be wise and utilise the Internet to our advantage in advancing the KOG! This is another creation of God, so as to help us be even more efficient in doing His work, not meant to be misued in selfish desires. Heheh. Of course, things that you read online, do filter:)

A website I chanced upon today: http://www.awmi.net/extra/article. Simple read-ups like these can really increase our knowledge of the Word, and send lots of reminders into our lives! How I wish I can have a good working printer, unlimited paper and printer ink.

All these aside, something random. Have you ever watched a movie TEN times?! Felicia Low does! What's wrong with her? HAHAHAH! Let's say a movie ticket costs around $7. $7 multiplied by 9 equals $63! That amount of money could be used much more purposefully! Haiyo, I'll never want to watch a movie twice.

Oh, another random thought.. I am so excited for you guys out there to go into NS! It's gonna make you much more manly (looks, and maturity of course), so cool! In CCC lecture, Ramesh mentioned that when men get into NS, despite the cultural differences (ethnic, race, etc) and personality clashes, none of them really matter anymore. The experience of going through thick and thin together will surpass all these, fostering stronger cohesiveness and bonds with each other. Wow, this will surely build up stronger men of God!
